Full Moonlady Uprising

It began as just an event newsletter from writer Amy "the Moonlady" Martin. Now, the Moonlady Community has now grown into a Listserv/online community with seasonal events celebrating the mystical, spiritual, holistic and more. This Saturday finds Martin and company presenting Moonlady Night at the Bath House Cultural Center, 521 E. Lawther Drive, complete with indoor performances (Linda Petty, Rhett Butler with Kelly Brown, the Mad Swirl Traveling Road Show and others), a "mystics and holistics" scene on the back porch (massage, acupuncture, reiki, tarot reading and more), a drum circle, a marketplace, an animal communicator and more. It's a different scene than the usual White Rock Lake runner vs. cyclist battle we see each weekend, and that, friends, is more than welcome. Plus, delicious bites will be provided by Amy’s Cakes & More...which had us drooling from the very moment word of the event dropped. Before knocking Labor Day back with all that barbecue, check out what the Moonlady has to offer. The festival, which is presented by Earth Rhythms, begins at 6 p.m. with the performance revue kicking off at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. Call 214-670-8570 or visit earthrhythms.org.
Sat., Sept. 1, 6 p.m.
