Streetcars Desired

Party for trollies in Oak Cliff

Screw that lame trolley no one uses on McKinney Avenue—let's talk about a part of town that deserves some mass transit with panache. The Oak Cliff Transit Authority wants to bring streetcars back to Oak Cliff; they've been working on it for a year and half now, and at 6:30 p.m. Thursday they'll host a fund-raiser at the Ice House Cultural Center, 1001 Page St., to support a feasibility study. Catch tunes from the Lucky Pierres, food and community involvement, and do your part to make Oak Cliff pedestrian-friendly. Admission is $15. Visit oakcliffta.org.
Thu., Sept. 6, 6:30 p.m.
