At 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, head to the Harmony in the House benefit featuring Queen Latifah at The Majestic Theatre, 1925 Elm St. It's the beginning of Latifah's national tour for her new jazz album, Trav'lin' Light (Seriously, Queen? Trav'lin' Light? What, did the "e" and the "l" in the middle of that word bring you sparkling water instead of still or forget to fluff your pillows and piss you off so bad that you cut them from the tour? Why not Pa'kin' Light? Or Not Car'yin' a 'Hol' 'Lot o' Stuf'? Or My New Jazz Album?) sponsored by the Cover Girl Queen Collection (which I hope doesn't mean all of the songs are going to be about makeup. The world isn't ready for a mascara scat. A Living Single scat we're totally begging for, but scatting about mascara is just not gonna fly), and proceeds from the event will help The Family Place in their efforts to eliminate family violence.
