Stage Trash

See The Great American Trailer Park Musical

If you're gonna call your stage production The Great American Trailer Park Musical, you better have the goods to back it up. We want to see some tacky living, dammit. You know what we're talking about—Dale Earnhardt memorabilia, Keystone Light, Power Wheels, three-legged dogs, stolen cable, that peanut butter and jelly combo spread, Beanie Babies, AstroTurf, inflatable pools, BC Rich guitars, Jeff Foxworthy brand beef jerky, dream catchers, Toby Keith, pink flamingos, Calvin peeing on a Ford symbol, Calvin peeing on a Chevy symbol, Calvin peeing on a Dodge symbol, Spam, Kid Rock, ATVs, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Bluetooth headsets, Footprints prayer posters, Croakies, Sammy Hagar, Big Mouth Billy Bass, etc., etc. And while it remains to be seen if the thespian residents of Florida's fictional Armadillo Acres will conform to these standards of white trash living, the play does promise "tacky outfits, bad wigs, crude language, adultery, road kill, electrocution and spray cheese." See for yourself Thursday though November 21 at the Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20 to $30. Call 972-450-6232 or visit watertowertheatre.org.
Wednesdays, Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Sept. 27. Continues through Oct. 28, 2007
