Many of you no doubt remember the 2005 case of Natalee Holloway, the pretty young blonde who disappeared in Aruba after a senior trip culminated in a night of foreigners and body shots at Carlos 'n' Charlie's. (After all, you can take the girl out of Alabama, but you can't take the Alabama out of the girl.) Had she not been such a pretty, pretty young blonde, however, it's quite probable Dr. Phil and Nancy Grace would have never beaten the story to death. It's also quite unlikely that Beth Holloway-Twitty—Natalee's tabloid-catering mother—would have received a book deal for Loving Natalee: A Mother's Testament of Hope and Faith, which claims to tell the "true" story of the "Aruba kidnapping." Apparently the original title, My Daughter Disappeared and All I Got Was This Lousy Book Deal, was already taken.
