The birth of a healthy child is a blessed event...at least, it should be if all the right factors are in place. You know, the pregnancy is expected, the marriage is a happy one, the family is supportive, finances are in order, basic elements like that. But what if, after having grown up in a happy, supportive family with one gay son, the mom-to-be discovers, thanks to a prenatal test, that her unborn child is likely to be a homosexual? In a perfect world, there'd be no change, and all would still be waiting excitedly for the stork. But in Jonathan Tolins' Twilight of the Golds, we see the non-perfect side: reactions that threaten the supportive structure of the family and the expecting parents and, subsequently, the possibly gay babe.
