Fast Food Fun Run

Whataburger sponsors a mad Dash

There's a 5K this weekend, and I'll give you no guesses who's sponsoring it. 8 a.m. Saturday, the Whataburger Dash for Dignity (a 5K run or 1 mile run, walk or roll) starts at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake (8300 Garland Road), and you should be there. You should be there right after you down a sausage-egg taquito, seven of those chicken biscuits and a giant Coke. That's the Breakfast of Running Champions, right there. All proceeds from the event go to Citizens Development Center, a nonprofit organization that encourages adults with disabilities to enter the workplace and live more independently. Race day registration is at 8 a.m. and will cost you $25. Call 214-637-2911 or visit mymiracleconcepts.com.
