More About

At first glance, I thought this was the stage version of a forgettable Prince album, but Under the Red Moon (and not Cherry Moon) is Teatro Dallas' annual Day of the Dead show. Artistic director Cora Cardona always directs her perfectly casted actors and utilizes special effects, make-up and a bunch of smoke to thrill us and make us cringe with that something-wicked-this-way-comes feeling. This year, however, isn't sounding quite so creepy. The play about "those who attempt to make a better life for themselves by crossing the border" doesn't have the usual ring of freaky menace. No matter. Cardona will still give us the heebie-jeebies. Under the Red Moon runs through Sunday, November 4 at Teatro Dallas, 1331 Record Crossing Road. Call 214-689-6492 or visit teatrodallas.org for more information.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8:15 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m. Starts: Oct. 12. Continues through Nov. 4, 2007
