Spidey Senses

Charlotte builds a web in Fort Worth

As a child you may have learned about death from your grandparents. More specifically, grandma bit it and then your folks had to explain why you wouldn't be getting any more five dollar checks for your birthday. Or you may have learned about death the same way you learned about sex—from television, when Sesame Street's Mr. Hooper died or when Edith Bunker stroked out. Or you may have been introduced to the concept of human mortality by creatures not at all human. Charlotte's Web starts off with a runty piglet almost immediately becoming bacon and ends with, well, nary a dry eye in the house. Casa Mañana Children's Playhouse presents Charlotte's Web through November 11th at Casa Mañana Theatre, 3101 W. Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth. Tickets are $14 and $16. For information and showtimes call 817-332-2272 or visit casamanana.org.
Fridays, 7 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 & 7 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Oct. 26. Continues through Nov. 11, 2007
