The DSO maestro raises a magical wand

Sadly, I'm just a muggle, but then again, so are you. We have no magical powers, no Quidditch, and certainly no house elves to do all of our chores—it's a wonder we make it through the days. The only real magician I've seen lately is J.K. Rowling. Her magic seems to be turning our hard earned cash into shelves full of books, collectibles and ticket stubs, all by making us love the Hogwarts gang over the past several years. Though we may never get to fly around on broomsticks or dine in grand halls, we will be able to experience a different kind of haunting Hogwarts fun as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra brings us Halloween Musical Magic. The performance will feature songs from the Harry Potter Suite as well as other seasonal favorites like Bach's "Toccata in D Minor" and Dukas' "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," so the whole family can don their dress robes for an afternoon of musical wizardry. There will be pre-concert activities, and a "Wizard's Tea" post-concert with Maestro Stephen Simon (for an additional fee).
