Nothing like dumping some extra cash and adding to your art collection whilst helping a do-gooding community organization. At least, that's what I hear. This year's annual Art + Advocacy auction features an array of paintings, photographs and sculptures from local galleries and retailers to benefit the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center, a nonprofit dedicated to abused children. It's 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at 333 First Ave. Tickets are $150 per couple. Call 214-818-2651 for more information.
