Town East throws an all night bonanza

Maybe Christmas doesn't come in a box. Maybe it doesn't come from a store. Perhaps Christmas means a little bit more. Hah. Yeah, right. It's all about the retail baby! It's about singing fish and hip-shaking Santa robots and bling. Why wait for the Thanksgiving turkey to be digested when the nation’s economy needs consumers? Town East Mall in Mesquite has right idea. It's kicking off its Rockin' Shoppin' Eve at 10 p.m. Thursday in the mall parking lot with music, prizes and carriage rides, all a prelude to opening the mall at 1 a.m. Friday, with more music and, most important, discounts. (At least 90 stores will be open.) Bring those credit cards to Town East Mall, LBJ Freeway and Town East Boulevard, and get crackin'. (Editor's note: The author of this item is aware that he's going to hell.)
