This Christmas Scrooge's Puppet Theater celebrates its 31st year at NorthPark Center. Ah, it seems like yesterday that Scrooge was only a twinkle in his puppet-maker's eye. Scrooge is known for his "acerbic wit" during these interactive puppet shows. Personally, when it comes to puppets with acerbic wit I prefer those two crotchety hecklers who sit in the balcony on The Muppet Show. You can see free daily performances of the show through December 24 in the East Court near Dillard's. Shows run hourly on the half-hour. Here's the schedule: 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sundays and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Christmas Eve. If cranky puppets aren't your cup of tea there is always story time and portraits with Santa Claus, the cool electric trains and the Salvation Army Angel Tree. Also check out "Sights and Sounds of the Season." Over 100 choral, instrumental and dance groups will be performing throughout NorthPark Center. Oh yeah, there are a few stores for Christmas shopping as well. And if that's not your thing you can always take some time to hang out with a babe in a manger. Visit northparkcenter.com.
Mondays-Saturdays, 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 12:30-6:30 p.m.; Mon., Dec. 24, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Starts: Dec. 4. Continues through Dec. 23, 2007
