What a Collection
UNT showcases four artists

What do you do when you're a reputable university with a permanent art collection that's been unstudied for years? If you're UNT, you get a bunch of art history grad students at the College of Visual Arts and Design to spend a semester to research and write scholarly texts about selected works, and then you turn it into an exhibition for everyone to explore and enjoy. Collections, Cultures and Collaborations is just that—a mixed-media exhibit featuring the works of Ilona Granet, Wenda Gi, Trish Igo and Graham Ovenden. The exhibition runs through March 1 in the UNT Art Gallery in the UNT Art Building, one block west of Mulberry and Welch streets in Denton. Gallery hours are noon to 8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. The exhibition is free to the public. Call 940-565-4316 or visit gallery.unt.edu.
