Ladysmith Black Mambazo performs at Bass Hall

I suppose having one's musical product imported to American audiences by the likes of Paul Simon is kinda awesome. Come to think of it, import assists from Eddie Murphy, Disney and Life Savers aren't too shabby either. Since the 1960s, Joseph Shambalala has been at the helm of African folk vocalist group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, but it took appearances on Simon's Graceland to gain the group their deserved notoriety. After that, LBM started popping up all over, spreading their trademark joyous arrangements through movies, commericals and more. Now, they bring that energy and tradition live to Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth, as they promote their latest release, Ilembe: Honoring Shaka Zulu. Tickets are $25 to $49.50. Call 1-877-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
