If you're interested in fame, wealth and art then the NasherSalon Lecture Series is right up your red-carpeted alley. Every month the Nasher Sculpture Center offers you the opportunity to kick back and enjoy hearing famous rich people talk about art, dance and theater. They even talk about the culinary arts. But I'm sure you don't need anyone to tell you that lemon raspberry cheesecake is poetry. This month's lecture features actress, director and producer Olympia Dukakis. Dukakis has been involved in television, film and theater for more than 40 years now. You may know her from such movies as Steel Magnolias and Mr. Holland's Opus. In addition to numerous awards, including an Obie Award and a Golden Globe, Dukakis possesses a coveted Oscar for best supporting actress in the film Moonstruck. Participants at the NasherSalon are even invited to stick around after the lecture for a showing of said Cher-flick. The lecture is at 8 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $45 for adults ($40 for members) and can be purchased online at nashersalonseries.org or by calling 1-888-695-0888.
