Whether you're a douche, a thug, indie or goth everybody loves a lovely lady. So it's a can't-lose proposition when The Lollie Bombs hit the scene with Cult Fiction, a burlesque show of singing, acting, dancing and striptease for contemporary audiences that pays a sexy tribute to nerd-dom. Yep, there is hope for the fanboy, and it ain't the internet. These vixens with creative nicknames like Jai L'bait (it seems burlesque and roller-derby exists to give gals fabulous noms-de-not-from-Mesquite-and-Arlington) will bada-boom and bada-bump for roll-players and die-rollers everywhere. So, take heart geeks, the Lollie Bombs were called a few names in their time but now they've decided it's time to play Nurse Chapel to your Captain Kirk. Burlesque-con takes place 11:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre. Tickets are $15. Visit lolliebombs.com or pocketsandwich.com for more information.
