It's the age-old question—are you a rocker or a mod? OK, maybe it's not "age-old," but this weekend it's not going to matter anyway, because the city will be brimming with both at the Rockers vs. Mods Second Annual City of Hate Rally. The three-day event will be packed with activities to entertain all, including several rides around downtown and White Rock Lake, The Smoke's Mod Dance Party at Pawn Gallery and live bands (including Lovie, Spector 45 and The Ugly Beats) and DJs at Darkside Lounge. The weekend will culminate at The Dubliner with an afternoon of contests for vintage scooters and European motorcycles, but first you have to survive the kick-off Meet and Greet at The Amsterdam Bar (831 Exposition Ave.) from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday.
