See Whodunnit at Theatre Three

Anthony Schaffer's no stranger to murder. The famous English playwright and novelist penned screenplays for movies such as Sleuth, The Wicker Man, Appointment With Death, Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy and Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile. Not that we don't think he could've loved puppies and rainbows, but just be glad you never pissed him off. One of Schaffer's most loved plays is Whodunnit, a comedy thriller that involves a country house, a boozy butler, a slew of suspects who blackmail and drink heavily, and lots of genial and downright hilarious dialogue complete with niceties such as "picadilly" and "jolly good." Our favorite line must be this one from the proper Lady Tremurrain: "I would sooner disembowel myself with a teaspoon." Good stuff, indeed. Theatre Three presents Whodunnit through May 4. Tickets start at $12. Call 214-871-3300 or visit theatre3dallas.com.
Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2:30 & 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Starts: April 3. Continues through May 4, 2008
