Past Forward

Just because a period of destruction is long past doesn't mean it's completely erased. This is especially clear in countries like Poland, where death camps of the Holocaust took a staggering number of human lives. Last Winter, a photographic exhibition by Stephanie Brown and Emily Ewbank, depicts images of 10 of these camps taken in December 2007, long after the end of the atrocities, but captured to give emotional impact as though they happened yesterday. Last Winter is shown through Saturday at Grey Matters Gallery, 113 N. Haskell Ave. Admission is free. Call 956-451-5664.
