Developing Legends

Hanson's exhibition give applause to the past

Go ahead and scramble to sneak a peek at Mylie Cyrus' so-called side-boob (whatever) in that Annie Leibovitz portrait all over the racks. Dallas has their own artistic exhibition of celebrity upon which to feast the eyes. The Music Hall at Fair Park showcases the work of local photographer (formerly of the Dallas Times Herald, may it rest in peace) and moment-capturer Andy Hanson. For the duration of the Dallas Summer Musicals' season, patrons can gaze upon the likes of Sandy Duncan, Johnny Cash, Carol Channing, Elvis Presley, Ginger Rogers, The Beatles and other beloved icons of the music, theatre and musical theatre worlds. Autographed copies of Hanson's biography will also be available for purchase throughout the exhibit, which closes October 19. Visit dallassummermusicals.org.
