Kid-Friendly Peas

The Dallas Puppet Theater profiles a princess

Back in the day, it was no easy feat to discover whether someone was a real princess or not. First of all, you had to place a pea on the floor. Then you covered the pea with twenty mattresses and twenty eider-down beds. Today, of course, it would be much easier with the use of background checks or the online genealogy racket. But does easier mean better? I think not. Come see the Dallas Puppet Theater bring The Princess and the Pea story to life again as well as The Tortoise and the Hare. Performances run through May 25 in the AT&T Auditorium at the Women's Museum: an Institute for the Future, located in Fair Park. Tickets are $6 for children 2 to 16, and $7 for adults. For more information, call 214-515-0004, ext. 4, or visit puppetry.org.
Saturdays, 11 a.m. & 2 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m.; Fri., May 23, 11 a.m. Starts: May 17. Continues through May 25, 2008
