The Texas/Mexico border is a geologically and culturally diverse area inhabited by "ambiente fronterizo," people who have combined the two country's cultural ideas. Border Studies documents these people and the terrain of the border through historical maps and photographs. Unfotunately, photos might soon be the only way to see this land without having your view blocked by an enormous fence made of xenophobia. The exhibit hangs through Tuesday at the Eastfield College Library (L200), 3737 Motley Drive in Mesquite. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Call 972-860-7168 or visit eastfieldcollege.com.
Thursdays, 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Starts: May 22. Continues through June 3, 2008
