Calling a play Intimate Apparel is a pretty, uh, ballsy move. With a name like that, you have every right to expect a stage production full of bustiers, garter belts and banana hammocks, in other words, plenty of reasons to fork over full price admission. But don't be fooled, the play merely follows the story of an thirty-something African-American lingerie seamstress looking for love between stitchings and fittings. If you liked How Stella Got Her Groove Back we have a sneaking suspicion this might be right up your alley. We also have a sneaking suspicion you love Dancing With The Stars and often daydream of joining the studio audience for one of Oprah's "Favorite Things" episodes. You probably also want to hit The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck in the face with one of your pumps, but we're totally with you on that one, sister. Catch Intimate Apparel at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through June 15 at the Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road. Tickets are $20 to $30. Call 972-450-6232 or visit watertowertheatre.org.
Wednesdays, Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: May 22. Continues through June 15, 2008
