See a Stripper at the Hub

Even though Dallas just lost the Bootstraps Comedy Theater Company to Chicago, the void was slapped, spanked and quickly filled by The Angry Dominatrix, "a new production company focusing on theater studying human sexuality." Ohhh yes. Sure, they'll study sexuality, but we really hope to see some live hot action without the worry of getting arrested. Their newest play, My Boyfriend the Stripper, doesn't hint at much steamy action but explores gay subcultures and urban experiences while touching on issues of loneliness and love. So imagine bears, twinks and hunky cowboys (hence the subcultures) all tending to their heartstrings and hoping not to let that one special guy get away. It all sounds very sweet in a hot, sexy kind of way. My Boyfriend the Stripper runs Friday through July 12 at the Dallas Hub Theater, 2809 Canton St. For tickets and information, hit their page at myspace.com/theangrydominatrix.
