Hey Buuuuuuddy

Beloved '90s stoner hits the Improv

Sure, I did it back in the day, and all my friends were doing it. In the early '90s, it was as inescapable as Hypercolor and Hammertime. Weezing the juice was epidemic. Glassy-eyed teens would sit for hours eating Cheetos while watching Pauly Shore's antics on MTV. Before long, we were lining up to see "The Weasel" at the Cineplex. I went to see Son in Law on opening weekend, and I remember laughing so hard my sides hurt. But, then came Jury Duty and Bio-Dome. Over the last decade, since his meteoric rise to fame in the early '90s fizzled out, some have faulted Shore for trying to jump start his career, but what's a guy like "The Weasel" supposed to do -- go into real estate? I mean really, what other purpose can a guy like Shore have on this planet than to make in people in "Mi-dull Uh-mare-i-kuh" laugh? This weekend, he's hoping to do just that at the Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road, but he may still try to weaze your grindage. He's scheduled to perform Friday at 8 and 10:30 p.m.; Saturday at 8 and 10:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. For more information call 972-404-8501 or visit improv.com.
Fri., July 11, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Sat., July 12, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Sun., July 13, 7:30 p.m., 2008
