Rapper POS, of Minneapolis' Doomtree collective, has one of the most interesting bios in hip-hop. He started in the punk scene as a guitarist and singer, initially hating but eventually accepting hip-hop as an art form. He still straddles the line between the two worlds, using electric guitars and hard-hitting drum beats to back his angry rhymes—a better mesh of rock and rap than this show's headliner. Doomtree opens for Flobots 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Pontiac Garage (formerly The Cambridge Room) in the House of Blues, 2200 N. Lamar St. Tickets are $15. Call 214-978-BLUE or visit hob.com.
