Better Than...

Find your level of Good at MFA

The grandchildren of Andy Warhol will soon display their goods at the Mighty Fine Arts gallery. Of course Polly Perez and Erik Tosten are not Warhol's descendants in the literal or the cheap knock-off sense. Rather, like Andy, these artists find their greatest source of inspiration in consumer and pop culture. Tosten uses the lines, shapes and colors of our modern culture to form his art and send his message. Perez uses "recycled source material" (garbage) to create some wonderful, thought-provoking eye candy. Good 'n' Gooder runs until September 14. Mighty Fine Arts is located at 419 N. Tyler St. between 8th and Davis streets. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays or by appointment. Call 214-942-5241 or visit mfagallery.com.
Saturdays, Sundays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: Aug. 9. Continues through Sept. 14, 2008
