You may not know the name Wreckless Eric, but if you've seen 2006's Stranger Than Fiction, then you've seen Will Ferrell laboriously learn the simple chord progression of Eric's irresistible 1978 pub rock classic "Whole Wide World." And just as Ferrell's character Harold Crick got the girl, Wreckless Eric (real name: Eric Goulden) also found his soul mate in singer-songwriter Amy Rigby, whom he met after he joined her onstage at a concert in England for her own cover of "Whole Wide World" (as far as we know, he did not bring her flours). The rest, as they say, is history, as the couple married in April of this year before releasing their first album together on September 2. The pair takes the stage 9 p.m. Friday at the AllGood Café, 2934 Main St. Tickets are $10 at the door. Visit allgoodcafe.com.
