One Man's Trash...

It's very important that we shred our documents. Credit card statements, bills and even personal correspondence is indelibly stamped with part of who we are, whether it's an identifying account number or a grocery list. But for artist Robert McAn, a document's value doesn't end when it's no longer useful. He uses the shredded bits of paper, paint and other materials to create art. Identity Theory runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays through October 11 at William Campbell Contemporary Art, 4935 Byers Ave. in Fort Worth. Admission is free. Call 817-737-9566 or visit williamcampbellcontemporaryart.com.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: Sept. 6. Continues through Oct. 11, 2008
