Comic ReliefStand up to fight children's cancerBy KAITLIN INGRAMPublished on September 25, 2008 at 12:41amEveryone knows there's nothing funny about kids with cancer. But in the case of the Children's Cancer Fund's 2nd Annual Comedy Event, it's a rare occasion when audience members have pediatric cancer on their minds and still manage to let out a few guffaws. That's because on this special night, all the anecdotes about airplane rides will actually help raise money for pediatric cancer research. So, by all means, people, laugh. The show, titled "Laugh Today, Live Forever," takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road, and will be headlined by comedian Aaron Aryanpur. Other performers include Paul Varghese, Dustin Ybarra and Angelia Walker. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at improv2.com or by calling Addison Improv at 972-404-8501. For more information about the event, contact the Children's Cancer Fund at 214-442-1691 or visit childrenscancerfund.net.
