The Shriners put on a Big Top show

Though I shudder at the thought of clowns, I love the circus. Tigers, elephants, high-wire acts, cotton candy, pony rides...and it all goes to a good cause. Well, normally it all goes into the owner's pocket, but the Moslah Shriners' 66th Annual Shrine Circus--put on by the guys that wear the fez hats--benefits sick kids. So through the simple act of taking a camel ride, buying a hot dog and oohing over some elephant tricks, you're doing a good thing. The circus runs through Saturday at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum, 3401 W. Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth. Tickets are $17 to $20, and the show starts at 7 p.m. Though I have to warn you, there will be clowns. Visit ticketmaster.com.
