Absolutely Safe takes on chest games
Let's play that word association game, ready? Pamela Anderson. Boobs. Jessica Simpson. Boobs. I wish I (my wife/girlfriend) had bigger...you get the picture. OK, so maybe this isn't true of everyone, but there's no denying that the fascination with big ta-tas has spawned a ridiculously lucrative industry intent on perfecting the female package. Absolutely Safe explores the less glamorous side of the business with the help of several real women willing to share their implant horror stories. From double mastectomy patients to MTV wannabes, these women and a panel of doctors offer drastically varying opinions on the issue and ultimately leave the viewer with a more informed take on the cup size dilemma. The University of North Texas Women's Studies Program is offering a free screening of Absolutely Safe at the UNT Media Library (in Chilton Hall) as part of the Fem Flicks Film Series at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
