Curried Laughs

Mr. Cooper hangs at the Improv

If you wondered what ever happened to Mark Curry, star of Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, he's been testing an old adage. I don't mean the one about laughter being the best medicine, though I suppose he gave that one a trial as well. I mean the aphorism on aerosol cans that says, "Keep away from open flames." He was hospitalized in 2006 when a can of starch that had fallen behind his water heater exploded, burning him so badly that he considered suicide before a couple of comedian friends cheered him up. Curry can do the same for you at the Addison Improv, 4980 Belt Line Road, at 8 p.m. Thursday; 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday; 6:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday; and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $17 to $20. Call 972-404-8501 or visit improv.com.
Thu., Oct. 30, 8 p.m.; Fri., Oct. 31, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Sat., Nov. 1, 6:30, 9 & 11:30 p.m.; Sun., Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m., 2008
