Finally, Election Day has come, just as the baseless accusations, fear-mongering and half-truths were becoming unbearable. After today, we'll know whether Cindy Werner or Mavis Best Knight will be the next District 13 member of the State Board of Education. While you're in the booth sweating out that decision, you can also vote on various other local, state and national races. Dallas County voters can find polling locations at 214-819-6300 or dalcoelections.org. Information on candidates is available from the League of Women Voters at lwvdallas.org. If you're looking for something to do after you vote, Barack Obama supporters will watch the election returns from 7 p.m. to midnight at Gilley's, 1135 S. Lamar St., Dallas, while the Dallas County Republican Party will watch the returns from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Radisson Hotel, 6060 N. Central Expressway.
