Anne Hathaway has had a pretty crazy year, and now that she's got a movie to promote we're getting to hear all about it. Even if you try to avoid stuff like that, you have probably heard something about her billionaire ex-boyfriend getting jail time for fraud and maybe even caught that she's also in a new movie called Rachel Getting Married. It's part family drama, part character study and part dark comedy, and it's already generating Oscar buzz for Hathaway--who plays Kym, the black sheep sister of the title's bride-to-be. Kym, who has been in and out of rehab for years, comes home for her sister's wedding after her latest stint and rouses enough contention in one weekend to warrant a feature film. Hathaway's roles have come a long way since The Princess Diaries and will hopefully (for all of our sakes) continue minus the real-life drama. Rachel Getting Marriedis playing Friday through Sunday as part of The Magnolia at the Modern (3200 Darnell St. in Fort Worth), an ongoing series featuring critically acclaimed films. Tickets are $8.50 or $6.50 for Modern members. Advance sales begin two hours before each show. For more information visit themodern.org/magnolia.html.
