This year marks the 32nd annual Lakewood Home Festival, which provides an opportune time to see what the Jones' have, even if keeping up with them can prove to be rather difficult. This time around, the Jones' live in a Spanish Mission-style home. It was originally built in 1922 and then turned into the East Dallas YMCA in 1957. Now it's a historical landmark, and the current owners--who incidentally, probably don't have the last name Jones--have preserved and restored it. Four other homes are on the tour as well. Proceeds will benefit Lakewood Elementary School, J.L. Long Middle School and Woodrow Wilson High School. During the tour, Lakewood Elementary will host market vendors showcasing everything from art and jewelry to gourmet food for anyone looking to do some early-bird holiday shopping. An Italian café is also available offering lunch choices from Campisi's and Paciugo. Take a gander at the homes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices are $12 to $15. For more information visit lakewoodhomefestival.com.
