Human Touch

Habitat for Humanity builds in Dallas

We've heard a lot about change over the past year. In fact, with all the presidential campaign promises, one would expect that America will soon be ushered into an age of unparalleled peace and prosperity. Yes, my fellow Americans, this is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. Until then, however, we still have to live in the real world, where change and real help don't often come in the form of government assistance or a visit from Extreme Home Makeover. That's where groups like Habitat for Humanity come in. Things get done when people think of other's needs before their own and are willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. From Monday through Friday, November 21, 250 volunteers will gather to build nine new homes in West Dallas's Greenleaf Village II neighborhood as part of the third annual Whirlpool Building Blocks program. Now there's change we can believe in. Go to whirlpool.com/buildingblocks to volunteer or find more info.
