In this ever-expanding globalized world, with our ever-homogenized views and cultural reference points, it's pure magic when someone declares that they've got their own world, full of wacky points of view and crazy high jinks. Like Bobby's World. Or Boy Meets...world. Or Tom Cruise. Or a guy named Ralph with a kids' rock band. Ralph's World has an indie-rock sensibility that will drive parents insane at a way, way slower pace than, say, Wee Sing or Teletubbies. The newest album, The Rhyming Circus, is full of jangly pop that, with just a few references to communism, could totally get a 5.5 on Pitchfork. Ralph's World comes to the House of Blues, 2200 N. Lamar St., this Sunday at that most rockin of hours, 10 a.m. Tickets are $16. Visit HOB.com.
