A long overdue trip to IKEA can act as a reminder that there's a designer in everyone--if they can make a 200-square-foot space livable, just imagine what you could do if you were given a shot. Now you get your chance to show your flair for interior design as the Dallas Museum of Art's new Center for Creative Connection's Tech Lab of Art teams up with La Reunion TX for Make Space of Artists: Design-A-Studio, a contest for the whole community. Everyone has the opportunity to enter this design contest, where visitors can have a hand at designing a dream studio for artists, writers, photographers and more. Get your design on in the Tech Lab now through February 12, and the winning designs will be featured at the February 20 Late Night at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood St. Museum hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $10 for adults, and children under 12 are admitted free. Call 214-922-1200 or visit dallasmuseumofart.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 6. Continues through Feb. 12, 2008
