Town East fights recession with bands

If Black Friday plans supersede your Thanksgiving plans, then clearly, the economy is not in that much danger, right? The Friday on which retailers go wild and shoppers go manic is the newest national holiday and the best time to get your flat-screen television. Finally, someone was smart enough to entertain the materialist troops as they wait in windswept mall parking lots through the middle of the night. Town East Mall hosts its Rockin' Shoppin' Eve once again, with the Mesquite shopping haven opening its doors at 1 a.m. Realizing that people will forgo turkey to get a good place in line, the mall peeps were thoughtful enough to offer up some holiday stimulation with outdoor movies, live entertainment, and free coffee and cocoa. While supplies last, of course. Ditch your family and head to Town East Mall, Town East Boulevard at LBJ Freeway in Mesquite for Rockin' Shoppin' Eve. Call 972-270-4431 or visit towneastmall.com.
