Santa Claus is coming to town, and Michael W. Smith is coming to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. If you don't know who Michael W. Smith is, just ask our mayor, Tom Leppert. Leppert says Smith is one of his favorite musicians, and if that glowing endorsement doesn't get you to the show, I don't know what will. Seriously, though, Smith is a Grammy award-winning musician who's been at the top of the contemporary Christian music scene for a long time. Who better to give Jesus an early birthday bash concert? Smith will be accompanied by special guest Melinda Doolittle (no relation to the doctor)--and, of course, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra--as he gives give two concerts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora St. Tickets are $35 to $89.
