Usually, we wouldn't recommend going to a sausage fest, but in this case we guess there can be an exception made to the rule. The GermanDeli Retail Store in Colleyville is celebrating Weihnachtsfest--or Christmas for us non-Teutons. The festivities include free food samplings, Glühwein, beer sampling, live music, surprises, prizes, entertainment for kids and grilled bratwurst on crusty rolls. This year will also feature the Fourth Annual Gingerbread Competition, as well as the store's usual lebkuchen, stollen, gift items, imported goods and recipes from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and more. Go find out what these strange words mean from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday. GermanDeli's Retail Store is located at 5100 Highway 121 in Colleyville. Call 817-354-8101 or visit germandeli.com for further details.
