As if shopping for presents didn't cost enough money and peace of mind, shopping for holiday meals will also take its toll on your wallet and soul. Former Abacus executive chef and Top Chef contestant Tre Wilcox looks to continue that tradition this year, unless you think his Festive Holiday Dinner class will teach you to take what's already in your fridge and whip up some five-star contemporary European cuisine. I know I'd have a lot to buy, unless he can turn beer, mayonnaise and leftover Campbell's Chunky soup into foie gras. Actually, that might not be bad. I'm adding "blender" to my Christmas list. If you're not so experimental with holiday meals, Wilcox will share holiday recipes 6:30 p.m. Monday at Central Market, 5750 E. Lovers Lane. Registration is $75. Call 214-361-5754 for info and reservations.
