More About

And now for a bonus question: what do Lisa Leslie, arguably one of the greatest female basketball players ever, and Michael Lockwood, a controversial first-time author, have in common? Answer: Both of their last names start with the letter L. Also, as a side note, they'll both be at Barnes & Noble, 7700 W. Northwest Highway, at 11 a.m. Saturday, meeting fans and signing their new books. Leslie's book, Don't Let the Lipstick Fool You, is all about her journey through life that led to accomplishments such as modeling for Vogue and being the first woman ever to dunk in a pro basketball game. And, surprise, surprise: Her life was not always so glamorous. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, she was already more than 6 feet tall in the sixth grade—what a barrel of laughs that must have been! Lockwood's book, Women Have All the Power, is also meant to inspire women, but it focuses on the relationship realm. Lockwood claims that women have compromised their values to please men, and it's time for women to take back the power in their relationships. (And, yes, Michael Lockwood is indeed a man.)
