Things that are hardcore: skydiving blindfolded, wrestling alligators, street luge. Things that are generally not considered hardcore: old people. Things that have hardcore potential only if they're Irish or in a movie, or both: old people getting trashed and behaving badly. Ellie is left in charge at the retirement home her sister runs over the Christmas holiday and must look after the only four grandmas and grandpas who aren't invited home for the holidays. "The hardcore," as they've come to be known around the cafeteria, aren't interested in warming up to their new caretaker and opt instead for throwing peas, smoking pot and being cranky. Ellie has to take control before they lose business for her sister, and most likely learns something poignant along the way. Cute Irish accents and veteran British actors abound in How About You, playing Friday through Sunday as part of The Magnolia at the Modern (3200 Darnell St. in Fort Worth), an ongoing series featuring critically acclaimed films. Tickets are $8.50 or $6.50 for Modern members. Advance sales begin two hours before each show. For more information visit themodern.org/magnolia.html.
