Comedian Gary Hood is a comedy legend. Not the kind of legend that you know of because he's been in some dumbass Dane Cook movie that made an astonishing amount at the box office, but because of the people he's worked with, written jokes for, written jokes with, opened for, headlined for, stood next to, said "excuse me" to and breathed on. Which is not to say it's all association...Gary Hood is a freakish ball of comedic talent. He's been around, he knows a lot of jokes (clean and dirty, mind you), and he can make you laugh in approximately 2.39 seconds. He is his own creation, his own brand of legend. That's all we can say without spoiling anyone's first experience with Hood. But we will say we thought we'd lost him when he moved off to sunny Arizona a while back and we're very, very excited he's back for shows Friday through Sunday, with a special headlining Hoodfellas gig Sunday night at Hyena's Arlington, 2525 E. Arkansas Lane. Do not miss it. Tickets are $10 to $15. Call 817-226-5233 or visit hyenascomedynightclub.com
