Mojito Bowl

We're trying to care, really we are. It is Super Bowl XLIII, after all. The Steelers are making their seventh Super Bowl appearance, the Arizona Cardinals their first. Cardinals QB Kurt Warner, who is, like 60 years old or something, is making an unlikely third trip to the championship. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are playing the half-time show in Tampa. Nope. Still don't care. Dammit, this was supposed to be our year! The Cowboys! Do you call this a Super Bowl? Are we munching a humongous pile of sour grapes over the fact that two teams that shouldn't have beaten the Pokes this season, but did, are vying for the title? Oh...hell...yes. Lucky for us, La Duni Latin Kitchen at NorthPark Center is offering a Super Bowl watching party. We may not care about Pittsburgh or Arizona up there on the restaurant's flat-screens, but we love La Duni, and maybe the finger foods, snacks and two drinks included for the price of admission will wash that bitter taste out of our mouths (though it's probably going to take more than just two mojitos to do that). Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. There'll be a raffle and live music from Week of Tuesdays too. Call 214-606-6737.
