Pharoah Pops

The DSO pays tribute to Tut

Ra-ta-TUT-TUT will be among the sounds at DSO's upcoming Pops Showcase, in which selections inspired by the DMA's acclaimed King Tut exhibit will be performed. In addition to the pharaoh fare, the concert showcases the best of Dallas Symphony's own instrumentalists. The crowd-pleasing William Tell Overture preludes other classic masterpieces by Mozart, Mancini, Sarasate and more. Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday and Sunday at the Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora St. Visit dallassymphony.com for tickets and more information.
Thu., Feb. 5, 8 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 8, 8 p.m., 2009
