Robin Williams unloads at Nokia

One of my biggest fears is that robots will one day try to take over the world and make us their unwilling servants--thanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger. So when one of my favorite comedians, Robin Williams, decided to play a robot in the movie Bicentennial Man, it totally freaked me out. Yes, I know he played a friendly, non-red-eyed robot who wasn't after anyone named Sarah or John, but a metal (not the music genre) version of Robin Williams just doesn't sit well with me. Then when he made ANOTHER robot movie, I seriously thought the man was out to get me. But he did finally win me back over with the movie Happy Feet, because who could stay mad at a singing and dancing penguin? Not I. Now Williams has gone back to his stand-up comedy roots with a multi-city tour—his first since 2002's highly acclaimed Weapons of Self-Destruction. Robin Williams will be at his finest 8 p.m. Friday at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie. Tickets are $59 to $99. Call 972-854-5111 or visit nokialivedfw.com for more info.
